When ordering a custom badge there are some things I like to know from you. It helps if you have images or ideas for me to start from or maybe tell me the type and style of bike its to be mounted on. A really important detail is the actual outer head tube diameter. If you have a set of calipers that would be ideal.....see the photo examples. If not- then a straight across measurement with a ruler or even a tape measure circumference would be fine. Most times if it's a steel or titanium standard frame then I already know the sizes on those. Its the fancy carbon fiber bikes where those dimensions can vary in diameter. Please measure where you will want the badge to actually sit. The tapered tubes require Incremetal measurements as that is what I need to make sure the badge will fit that contour. I don't own every shape headtube here to match it up so I rely on you to provide these measurements.
Most custom badges average in the $150-$175 range in the mixed metals. They can certainly go up from there. Adding sterling silver will add to the cost as well as excessive lettering or detail. If you have a budget in mind, that is helpful for me to know how much detail and metal work I can do with the design. All the badges are hand fabricated and soldered by hand. Nothing is done by machine. I've gotten pretty good- and most detail is achievable---just try me! I'm always surprised at how daunting something can seem at first but I'm not afraid to try. The tough jobs have really pushed the limits of what I'm able to do.
